๐Ÿ”ฑ Important Yogas

Common Vedic astrology yogas explained: Raja, Dhana, Gajakesari, Pancha Mahapurusha, Viparita, Neecha Bhanga and more.

A yoga is a specific combination of planets that changes how a chart behaves. A yoga only gives full results when its planets are strong and their dasha runs. So a yoga on paper is a possibility, not a promise.

Raja yoga

Lords of a kendra and a trikona join, aspect each other or exchange signs. Gives status, authority and success.

Dhana yoga

Lords of wealth houses (2, 5, 9, 11 and the lagna) combine. Gives earning power and savings.

Gajakesari yoga

Jupiter in a kendra from the Moon. Gives wisdom, respect and protection in difficult times.

Pancha Mahapurusha

Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus or Saturn in its own or exaltation sign in a kendra: Ruchaka, Bhadra, Hamsa, Malavya or Sasa yoga.

Budhaditya yoga

Sun and Mercury together. Gives intelligence and skill with words, if Mercury is not too combust.

Viparita Raja yoga

Lords of the 6th, 8th or 12th placed in another of these houses. Success that comes out of crisis or another person's loss.

Neecha Bhanga

Conditions that cancel a debilitation, such as the sign lord sitting in a kendra. The planet can then rise strongly after early struggle.

Parivartana

Two planets in each other's signs. The two houses become deeply linked.

Kemadruma

No planets on either side of the Moon. Can bring loneliness or money worries; often cancelled by planets in kendras.

Mangal dosha

Mars in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th (some also count the 2nd). Checked in marriage matching; often cancelled or balanced in the partner's chart.
